I'm a self-taught, eclectic artist who tried a bit of art school and decided it wasn't to my liking. I wanted to do my own thing! I paint in acrylics for the most part, though I often stray to oils or watercolors.
As a child I loved watching my Mother duplicate on paper anything I pointed to with just a pencil. Drawing became my passion by the time I was 8 years old and Nature was my Muse. As I grew I began exploring more experimental techniques and started painting abstract artwork.
Now, I've come full circle to return to the the themes and subjects I was drawn to as a child. I like to take things from nature that we most often ignore, take for granted or trod upon without a second glance as my subjects. Beauty can be found in the simplest things.
I'm currently working on several projects; including Pen and Ink drawings of frogs and a new series of Earthscapes.
Over the years I have explored ideas from the microscopic to the expanse of the universe and then back down to earth again. To see a complete catalog of my works please visit my website.
