I went back to the basics with this piece. I had nothing but a palette knife, black, white, and yellow paint, and just the image I have in my head of the New York skyline. This very abstract painting of New York was created entirely with a palette knife. No brushes. I use palette knives often in my paintings to create some texture, though this is the first piece of mine that was created entirely using the palette knife.
