I saw an ant (let's call her Millie) crawl under this
dead leaf. I was really drawn to the leaf - perfectly dead, brown, crunchy, with a few lovely cracks and a piece busted out of it.
The slug shell made for an interesting composition and everything was in the shadow of a tree except
for a few hints of sunlight coming through.
Soft pastels on 20x26 canson mi-teintes paper.
