I work in a sign shop, most of the signs we make involve using a vinyl film. We use as much of the vinyl film as possible, but there are always scraps and pieces left over that we can not use. The vinyl is a petroleum based product. It was important to me to create a piece for this show using the vinyl scraps. Since petroleum is one of the biggest reasons why our planet is so polluted. The vinyl floor tile, was an extra from a bathroom re-model, and the stretcher bars once belonged to a painting, that had an unfortunate accident, and is no longer with us.
