I am a completely self taught artist. I have had no formal training.
I am also a self representing artist, handling the business side of being an artist on my own terms.
My paintings are currently being collected in the US and abroad. I like to keep a very diverse price range, allowing people of different economic backgrounds the option to own good, quality, original art work. Instead of cheap reproductions, and tacky discount store art, that has no realistic potential to increase in value.

I work primarily in oil and acrylic, but am prone to try out and play with other mediums. I don't think my style can correctly be defined by classic terminology, as I often fuse painting styles, and techniques. From gentle impressionistic landscapes, with a flair of realism, to bold intense abstract figurative paintings, that exemplify emotion.
I try to use color, texture and subject matter in a zestful and challenging way. I am often silly, and a total smart ass. On the other hand I will express my opinions fearlessly, when I feel the need to.

I like to create paintings that challenge the viewer to dismantle their internal walls, and take off their emotional armour. To look and explore with out any distractions.
I don't like to write out lengthy descriptions of my paintings. I prefer to let my work speak for itself, and follow the mantra of "you'll either feel it or you won't… Yes, it's that simple. I

f you should view my work and are looking for the "meaning" or you feel that you just don't "get it". That's perfectly normal and fine with me. I'm not trying to please everyone and try to create art that every single person feels they must have. That's a pretty silly idea anyways. If you like it great, and if you don't that's fine to. I'm a big girl, I can handle it.

I am not sure if I ever want to settle on one style.
There are so many options to explore when using different mediums.
its part of the thrill of being an artist.
There is always a new avenue to check out. At first it can be uncomfortable, and challenging, but it can also lead to a better understanding and appreciation for that particular style and the artist that choose to work in it.

My inspiration comes from all aspects of life. Be it local surroundings, to phrases overheard in crowds, emotions associated with life experiences, and good old rock and roll. Remember, Good tunes=good paintings. The list is long and I don't even think I could actually pin point something and say "That's why" because I'm inspired by many different things, all at once, and one thing from all different aspects. I know that's sounds odd and a bit wacky, but it's true.

I like to sell my work through online venues.
I also show and sell my work through alternative brick and mortar venues.
I'm proud to say that I have sold over 350 paintings worldwide as of this writing.
Not bad for a chick with a paintbrush, that is also a mamma and army wife.

"I am very grateful to those that have supported my efforts, through sales and encouragement.
I love working one on one with my collectors. I am a buyer to, and it's important for me to treat my collectors and buyers the same way I wish to be treated.
I don't approve of using tacky marketing schemes or gimmicks to sell my work. Honestly I think doing so, de-values the work itself.
I will paint regardless of how much money I'm making, or who's buying it. I don't do this for the money or recognition, I do it because I love to. It's a sacred part of who I am.
