Hi, my name is Bev Morrice and I reside on our 5 acre property, overlooking bushland and surrounded by the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia. I live with my husband of 33 years and have raised 3 beauitiful children. Maintaining my large garden is my relaxation and I find it rejuvenates my mind and body.
I've always been artistic and have created many items for myself, family and friends. Sewing, Knitting and Crotcheting for my children when they were smaller and later knitting outfits for the many Porcelain Dolls I've made. My Dolls proudly sit in my china cabinet, each with their own personalities reflected through their handpainted faces. Around my home is an assortment of abstract sculptures that I've made in ceramics that express my attraction to colour and shape.
Looking for a new direction I found a wonderful and talented art teacher willing to share with her students her years of experience. It is through my lessons at VickieJ's Studio that I have found the freedom to express myself onto canvas. As I grow and develop as an artist I am constantly amazed by the effects I can achieve by using colour and incorporating new and exciting techniques.
I enjoy painting and it is my hope that by sharing my artwork with others I'll be able to brighten a little corner of their life.
