This mermaid and fish are "Kindred Spirits" ~ they are both sea creatures who make their home in the "vasty deep," surrounded by iridescent purple and golden hues as they themselves shimmer and shine in shades of gold, copper, indigo, orange, red, and blue violet. Both have been hunted for their beauty, and both are a dying breed.
