"Baptizin'"
Acrylic ACEO on 1/4' Poplar Wood
Down here in the South Baptisms were, and in a lot of places, still are, carried out in nearby lakes or creeks. It's an all day affair, full of singing and praying, hands stretched out to Jesus, and downright celebration!
I painted this ACEO (2.5" x 3.5") on poplar wood in the southern folk art fashion, so you'll have no wrinkling or curling. It is sealed with a glossy varnish for protection.
The painting is signed on the front C.E. Harrison 8-08, and on the back "MamaHen" C.E. Harrison.
