I really love working in collage on wood! This piece is another of my chunky block paintings in a fun collage form

This piece combines old book articles on the White Crested Black Polish breed of chicken, along with pictures and hand painted folk art style renderings of the hen and rooster. The Polish is one of my favorite breeds, they are very animated birds.

The piece is mounted on 5.5" x 5.5" x .75" pine, a favorite Georgia wood. It has been sealed. The design continues on the side, so it looks great with no framing needed. It is signed on the back and has a one inch notch carved out for hanging. A certificate of authenticity is included.
