Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1993, I "retired" from the workforce. Since that time I started painting anything and everything to fill my time. I was born and raised in Georgia, live in the country, and could never see myself living anywhere but here.
My days are filled with painting and raising my wonderful chickens, geese and turkeys. They provide me with a lot of company and inspiration. While I do paint on canvas at times, most of the time I will paint on anything with a flat surface. I hate to throw things away, I can see the art in an old fence board, a piece of stone, whatever. I am experimenting now with using recycled materials. I've always loved living in the country,in the South, but the country is slowly disappearing around me. Before I add to the landfill, I look to see if I can make some beauty out of things.
God, family, and a roof over my head - I truly love the simple things in life.
