At a very early age, I discovered the many rich and wonderful variations of color contained in my Crayola box. I thought this Mr. Crayola guy must be a genius! An only child until age 12, I would spend hour upon hour with my tiny little pigmented wax friends. My only complaint...I think the box should have a warning label for children reading, "BEWARE OF: Growing too old, too negative, too fearful, losing your sense of humor and play, thinking your music's too loud, and most of all...beware a world without recess!"

It's amazing what you can discover when you take the time to quiet your mind and the endless numbing thoughts that circle, the ones that are constantly in judgement of ourselves and others. As children we are free and ever present, observing, creating and playing. It is only from a place of unawareness that says, "It's just pretending".

My work is the result of creative play and a desire to see all the Love and Beauty that still exists in our world! It's too easy to be oriented on what has gone terribly wrong, but so much more soulful to point the compass in the other direction. I create from the happiness within.

So here I am back where I started, seeing it new for the first time. And my hope is that in sharing mine with you, you will find yours as well and share it with all of us.
