A trip through Canada in 2006 took me through Banff, an unexpected treat. The mountain ski town is both charming and elegant, full of historic buildings & beautiful contemporary structures. But what inspired me the most was the wide range of international peoples who infused the village with a rich savory flavor. I had to paint one of my favorite memories of that visit - shoppers clustered in the downtown area.
