This piece was actually made as an entry for a call for art in a magazine. I took a sheet of canvas paper and stapled it to a chipboard backing, and then adhered various papers and paints around the edges of the canvas. I made the butterflies and lightening bugs on artist drawing paper with oil pastels and then ripped the edges for an interesting effect. It was attached with staples to the larger collaged background. This piece reminds of chasing and catching butterflies and lightening bugs as a kid. That's always a magical moment in a kids mind....
