I know everyone says they've been an artist since they were a kid. Most kids color and paint when they are little, but I didn't really think that I wanted to be an artist until I was in high school. I had the best art teacher in high school, and she is one of the reasons why I'm doing what I do. My grandmother is the other reason. She was a painter, and did very large scale landscape paintings, among other things. These two women were the ones to encourage me on my artfilled path.

I've been painting for serveral years now and just recently in the last couple of years got into mixed-media and digital collage. I'm learning as much as I can about collage, and love expanding in all directions. I'm also learning about photography and plan to take my art in another direction with that , as I get better with it.

Nature is my biggest ispiration. The colors in nature are fun to try and capture in paint and collage. I think my work is growing as am I with what I'm learning along the way. I feel that since my style is a blend of techniques than my vision is a blend, hence the name Blended Colors.

I love creating art , and plan to everyday for as long as I can.
