The age old question which came first the chicken or the egg. Who really cares ? I love both eggs and chickens and for a fair number of years had chickens for both meat and eggs. They are a very interesting member of the bird family maybe not coming in first in the brains department but they are resilient and excellent for eating all those table scraps and grasshoppers...!!!! We had the kind that laid shades of pastel eggs from pink to green, with and without speckles.
