I was once an Anthropogy major. One semester while registering I found myself two classes short so I took pottery and drawing and the rest is history. Finished a minor in Anthro and majored in Art. Due to circumstances it seemed I could never afford full time status and by then I was divorced and remarried with two small kids and working.
Life took me on a journey that was bittersweet. I was widowed with those small children and at that time made the decision to go back to school and finish at least one thing in my life. By the sheer grace of the heavens above I managed to survive on grants and scholorships plus my part time job and I did graduate with a BFA.
Once again life took a turn I would not have chosen and I after another child came a long illness and even longer recovery. But now I am back on course again going back to the place I can not seem to get past and am taking the plunge yet again. Which finds me here. Before my illness I did well with my drawings and I showed and sold a number of pieces in galleries and help start a gallery here in Denver "The Pirate Gallery". I rejoined the Pirate gallery and have been in multiple shows since.
This is likely to be the only serious thing you will read by me because if I have learned nothing else a sense of humor is critical to survival along with a creative passion in which to emerse yourself in when reality is a little too real.
