I decided to paint this vase of flowers on a windwo sill when I noticed how the light passed through the vase and fell on the sill below. I rearanged the flowers to get a better composition. Then I took about 10 photos of the vase from all angles. I used older photos for the scene outside the window, since the photo of the vase was taken in winter and I didn't think the snow (and cars in the driveway) added to the painting

The paintng is on a 24X30 Fredrix watercolor canvas.
