The goal of this piece was to capture the mood of getting home from work after a long day, taking off your coat, emptying your pockets and sitting down to read the paper.

In my studio I used an antique wooden table to display the objects and took several digital photos of the sceen. I wanted the composition of the items to look natural, yet still look interesting and unique.

The paintng is on 300 lb. Arches watercolor paper.
