My goal for this peice was to capture the mood and lighting of waiting to order breakfast in a diner with the ealy morning sunlight coming through the window. One of my favorite activities is spening a weekend morning in a diner or cafe, reading the paper and enjoying breakfast.

I took about ten digital photos from all angles and distances using the best one as the main template for the piece. I used the other photos to help with the overall mood and colors.

The paintng is on 300 lb. Arches watercolor paper.
