The dichotomy of the 1950s - button-down boy surrounded by Jackson Pollock-inspired abstract splatters.
The model was my son who was about five at the time. The paint on his hair is so chunky that it is hard to get a photo without glare. He was a most well-behaved child but he could really put on an act when I asked him to pose.
"1958" is an original oil and if you paint you know that oil is very hard to splatter. (Jackson Pollock used house paint and so I'm assuming it was latex.)
As always, please email me with any and all questions. Thanks for considering my work.
