David Yang has been drawing since he was a child. His interest in painting portraits developed when he was working towards his master's degree at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. The Museum of Fine Art, Boston is located next to the University and frequently tempted David away from his school. He was strongly influenced by great old masters there. Artists he most reveres, and most strives to emulate, are John Singer Sargent, Renoir, Van Gogh and Degas. Sometimes he may stand in the museum marveling at a painting for hours. David considers himself a classical portrait painter. His painting style is a mix of realism and impressionism. He not only enjoys revealing the essence, personality and spirit of the subject, but also celebrates his passion and love for life. David deeply believes that everyone can be a great model for a fine art painting. His life-long goal is to create more beautiful, elegant artworks that can be cherished and loved for generations. Just like those masters' paintings in museum, they are immortal. (Please visit David's Website at: www.yangportrait.com)
