Of all the pieces I've done over the years, these are the hardest. So many sides! So I rarely do them. But I had so many very special pieces of English china and very old transferware patterns with birds on them, how could I not make one more?
There are too many china producers to mention, and most of the patterns originate in late 1800s England. I had to throw in a little Brock for the farmhouse scenes and the rooster on the back. I chose antique white grout.
The birdhouse stands 9 1/2" tall, 7" across the widest part, and 6 1/2" deep. It is not for outdoor use since there is no way to clean it out once used but it looks great on a screened porch or in a sun or mud room! In my etsy store $200.
