This darling little vase is very elegant and calming for the color choices. I used a bit of Taylor, Smith, Taylor "Marney" china, pink flowers from Alliance and Homer Laughlin, and a favorite Harlequin chartreuse solid along with light speckled pink pottery (Bauer or Monterey?) around the top. A strand of Nephrite Jade beads surrounds the neck, and the pink and yellow flower embellishments tie it all together.
The vase stands 7" high and nearly 5 1/2" from china cup handle-to-handle. I did a bit of leafing inside the neck and on the bottom to finish it all off. The light pink grout has been sealed to protect it from moisture and stains and is fully functional for holding living flowers as long as the standing water level stays below the leafing. Gorgeous for a bedroom dresser or bathroom!
