My art education began long before I received my formal degree. I do believe in the "big scheme of things" formal education has little meaning to the creative artist. That's not to say I feel my education was a waste, far from it. I was introduced to art history and color theory, but the creative side of my nature was there and thriving long before college.
I'm generally introverted, and will predictably fall into an emotional funk if my creative outlets become unavailable. My artwork is eclectic, sometimes bizarre, and frequently reflects spiritual or religious symbolism which I personally find meaningful. Fueled with a fertile imagination, I find the process of creating to be a self-centering and liberating experience.
Being introduced to the ArtCards, Editions, and Originals (ACEO) movement was a wonderful gift...and I thank phillybelles*art for the invitation to join the ACEO group on eBay.. I now combine my passion for small, intimate objects with my own creative vision. The art card format is a perfect fit. Creating artcards is terrifically satisfying; though parting with them is often difficult...but i am happy when they find good homes.
eBay is my primary venue for selling
my art cards and other artwork.
I also list on Etsy.com and CafePress.com.
You can find my stuff on eBay, Etsy,
or CafePress by searching:

Since discovering ACEO's I've also found other like-minded artists who create small, origninal art. On Ebay they can be found/searched as SFA (Small Format Art) and Art2 (Art Squared...square format up to 14 inches).
I'm an avid collector of glass beads and have always been addicted to art supplies...a kind of Art-o-holic!. I find the beauty of nature overwhelming and believe, "With all it’s sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world" (Max Ehrmann 1927). utopian visionary studio/vicki jenkins © 2008
