This is a headstudy of a bay Connemara horse in a snaffle bridle. She was at a stable where I used to ride and I always thought she had a lovely face.

At the time I drew this, I was experimenting with different papers/boards to draw art cards on and chose bristol board. Since then, I found that Stonehenge papers work best for colored pencil, since they have a nice tooth and are reasonably thick.
