My name is Tessa Brozovich and I was born and raised on Curacao, a Dutch Antilles island in the Caribbean. When I was very young my father noticed that I was more interested in painting (on almost anything, including tables, walls, desks, his arms) than playing with toys. He sent me to several painting classes and even a fashion designer school. I liked to paint and design clothes but the moment I had to sew my own designs I dropped out. My father encouraged me to study with Luigi Pinedo, a local painter. Luigi would let me experiment with pastels, water colors and oil.

After a couple of years of painting with oil, I had to look for alternatives since it was aggravating my asthmatic symptoms. I discovered Acrylic. In the beginning I could not seem to catch up with the drying speed of Acrylic. My paintings support wildlife conservation. I love to watch animals in their natural environment. I sincerely hope that with my paintings I can show the tenderness and vulnerability of these beautiful endangered animals.
