I did an acrylic 7 yrs ago and had taken a cheap digital picture of it before it went to the new owner and found the file on a storage website and was going to delete it because, frankly, it looked terrible, all pixelated and bearly recognizable. Since I have been learning to do digital artwork, I thought rather than discard it, to transform it. I placed it in my program and it looked like a cubist abstract, so I enlarged it 1200% and placed my paint brush and pencil tools on 50% and their smallest point option and began to paint this over, pixel by pixel...AS I would complete what was visible on my monitor, I would reduce it and check to see how the clarity was improving and then I went section by section, til i rebuilt the picture into a new digital painting.Diagonal lines were the biggest challenge since my programming only goes horizontal and vertical.. That was where the smudge tool came in.I worked on this image intermittently for over 3 wks . I would finish sections and save the file til the next time I felt like digitally painting. Finally I got it to a point that I could see an image I liked and saved that as a first print, then another section and after each save, I would add more the next time i opened the file.. In this version, I have converted the barn to a church!{and did you think it was churches that made all the converts, lol?}Anyway on its largest setting in software I wrote on the side of the church " jesus is coming!" and also on the sign in front of the church i wrote 'Jesus"...Well on the larger versions I have it is readable, but in this version, you would need a microscope to see it,:) .The point is that I did alot of minute detailing on this picture to bring it where it is now. I cant begin to estimate the amount of time put into this as it spanned a few months with the last 3 weeks being pretty intense.
My digital paintings , evolve.. I dont think any of them will ever be completely 'finished' as every time I view them I see more in my mind that I want to do to them..
Anyway, I hope you like this! Shown on this listing I am offering it as an ACEO.
