Originally done in honor of the memory of my late husband, "Sunset of Hope" is a brilliant sunset, depicting the completion of Jesus ministry on earth, as we now wait for the sunrise of His return. The monument of the cross and the lighthouse at either side are reminders to encourage us to never give up hope in waiting for his return~ The calm seas and the view show us being at a high place above the troubled waters of our lives and the message is we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I hope you find that peace while looking into this digital painting and that you never give up hope~ Details: I began using a digital art program a few years ago and this painting is done one pixel at a time in many repeated layers taking over 100 computer hours over the course of a month to complete. With this however as a base for new paintings I have made several variations of this with colors, skews and detailed changes. I dont know how others use their digital art programs, I just use the mouse like a paint brush and keep picking out new colors and brush and pencil sizes when painting digitals~ It began with a blank white canvas, no photos had any part in this as it is a creation from my mind.I have it for sale now and make my own giclee printings, available here and at my website http://AveHurleyIllustrations.ning.com
