I
specialize in representational and slightly impressionistic artworks which are
generally developed in series or groups of paintings with an overall theme.
By creating series paintings, I develop expertise, skills and techniques
which can be utilized in the development of other works.
Commissioned works allow me to expand beyond my normal realm of series paintings.
Commissioning a painting is based on mutual trust between both the artist and
the buyer. The buyer must trust that the artist is competent and skilled and has
good business ethics. The artist must trust that the buyer has reviewed their
style, and techniques and understands their capabilities. Good communication between
the buyer and the artist is a must and the key to successfully competing the work.
I accomplish this by making the commissioned work interactive, letting you see
the work as it progresses and asking for your input during the various stages of
the process.
I also require only a 50% deposit up front to begin your work. This
allows us both to have a mutual investment in the work.
Outlined below is an overview of "How the Commission Process Works". This process
has been developed based on best practices used on previous commissioned works.
The interactive process between the buyer and artist has been one of the most
outstanding factors in creating a successful piece of artwork.
