Patron's Choice

this is my piece for the rip show, july 2005. I had the great opportunity to choose from Vicky Knowles's paintings, and rip one off! In fact, EVERYTHING in her portfolio is so awesome and unique, I made a painting that was inspired by a lot of them! I titled the painting "Vicky & Me", because I think it has equal parts of her and me in this painting. I did not want to totally just copy one of her paintings. I wanted to put a significant amount of "me" in it. I used acrylic paint and different sizes of little plastic "googly eyes". Because looking at, and analysing her paintings, I see that a special attention is given to the "eyes" in her pieces. I enjoyed so much making this painting for my fellow artist Vicky, and I am looking forward to next year, to rip someone else off!!
