| My mixed media painting and pastel work come from a lifelong fascination with everyday life and spirituality, with the symbols used by humans to communicate with, and about, the Divine. I try to articulate in a visual way the connections that exist between all of us and the unique beauty of those common threads.
Painting is an art form that asks viewers to come closer, to really look at a piece. The colors and textures tell a story, a myth, that speaks to the hopes, dreams and fears of people everywhere, including me. At the end of the day, I want people to experience a sense of common ground when they look at my art, a feeling that they are not alone in their struggles and joys.
