Mermaids are appealing creatures. I would enjoy meeting one but doubt if the occasion will present itself. So....I decided to make one. This mermaid is definitely The Material Girl as she has eyes for the pearl in the oyster shell. I am beginning to combine enameled copper with other materials. I manufactured some homemade paper recycling it from old greeting cards. Before the paper dried completely I was able to form it into a semblance of coral. I then spray painted it and applied some clear acrylic to harden it a bit.
