This piece comprises three parts: the sculpted background was taken from an older piece; the stars were also from another work; the sailboat is new to the composition. Since we live near the Intercoastal Waterway where sailing is very popular this concept seemed to be a natural expression of my enameling art. The sailboat was cut from a copper sheet that was fairly thin and then enameled. I affixed it with a strong adhesive to the background. I think the whole effect is very pleasing.
