SOLD This is a watercolor and ink brush painting of camellia in vibrant reds and subtle greens, spread across four 12x12" cradled birchwood panels. The camellia represents excellence and beauty, admiration and perfection, and gratitude. Also associated with auspiciousness and peace, the flower signifies fortune, victory, happiness, longevity, a happy marriage, and the bond of love. Though camellia are usually evergreen shrubs and small trees, in my mind when I was creating this the blossoms grew on a larger, knottier tree branch.
