This is a Chinese brush painting of a peony and bud done in black ink and white tempura on acid-free linen matboard. The Chinese character in the upper right corner means "longevity," which peonies have long symbolized. The larger red square on the right is my personal artist or signature seal. The smaller square is a mood seal meaning "the source of beauty."
