Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
Art has been an important part of me since early childhood and I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to grow and express myself through my creations. I eventually received formal training, but still consider myself a self-taught artist. Learning is a lifetime commitment and I am constantly inspired by the known and unknown world around me. I am interested in conveying a sense of mystery within my artwork. Sometimes this is presented as a subtle mood or dreamy shift of reality.
My work may be described as impressionism/realism with a desire to dive into the abstract. How I choose to approach my subject depends on how I can bring out the best in it. If I have a vision of energy, I may choose to convey an overall feeling of movement within the piece by using obvious marks and brush strokes. At other times, my realist side takes over and I pay close attention to the details of my subject at hand.
As always, e-mail me with any questions you may have.
Thanks again for your interest!
