Hello, my name is Robert Als and I'm an artist looking to branch out from the normal humdrum daily routine. I currently work as a professional graphic artist/web designer for an internet marketing company on Long Island.
Creating is a passion of mine, but latley the digital aspects of the art (especially web design) hasn't been as fulfilling as it used to be. My true passion in the arts lies in illustration of any kind. My favorite (as my gallery will show) is entertainment illustration. Images depicting the beautiful scenes we see on the silver screen.
I started loving this after my fiance' asked me to a poster for her cousin's birthday...He loves Jack Sparrow. I loved drawing it. Since then, I have done numerous "fan-art" illustrations for friends and family.
My main media of choice is a mechanical pencil, a bottle of India Ink and Photoshop. However, I am skilled in numerous digital art programs (illustrator, dreamweaver, flash, Quark Xpress..etc).
Throughout my career, (10+ years of professional experience) I've created numerous websites (both freelance and through my job), print advertisements, digital media, logos and advertising material. I want to expand on my illustrations more.
