Ever since I could hold a pencil or a paintbrush, I have been caught up in the joy of art. Being able to make my imagination visible has always brought me happiness and throughout my entire life has been an outlet to let myself be free. I have taken art classes through all levels of school including some classes in college. In high school, I had done some portrait drawings, but I found I excelled at collages combined with painting. Through this particular avenue of art, I've found my true calling and am able to express myself to my fullest extent.
My art includes a variety of colors from various sources, either through painting or through magazine clippings. The world is full of so many colors, and I like experimenting to see what goes well with what, which often times gives my work a fun and whimsical look which I enjoy. I've been asked many times what my favorite color is, and I like to reply with "rainbow!".
Currently, I am working with children, and that has been my passion, working at various youth camps throughout my life and now taking care of kids at a local YMCA camp. When I draw and paint pictures for the kids that I am in charge of, it always puts a smile on their faces, which gives me so much joy to see. My goal is to combine my two passions of art and children and someday draw and paint pictures in children's books, while also selling my collage and painting work on a full time basis. Getting started on this website is really helping me get that proverbial foot in the door, and the designs by many people here are wonderful and inspirational.
