Inspired by "The River" by Flannery O'Connor. The little boy returns to the river he was brought to the day before. It was a totally new experience to him. He met a lady who taught him about Jesus, and he met a preacher who said he counts. It was new to him because the usual adults around him did nothing for him but teased him.

He returned to the river to see if it was true "I count?" "really?....Or is this just another joke?"

He ducked his head into the flowing river so that it would take him...

This is my take on how the story ended.
