“The Brown Tabby of the Abbey” The punctilious and parsimonious parish Pastor Creech was nightly perplexed by the persistent appearance of a phantom feline, The “Brown Tabby of the Abbey”, whose spectral origins were a source of many salient and silly speculations. But, perhaps it was the children who were the cleverest of them all; the moonlight manifestation of the “Brown Tabby of the Abbey” was surely to chase a ghostly mouse. K.W. King
