About the work:
Peri Peri is a dynamic and somewhat surrealistic artist’s representation of enlightenment and self-empowerment. The moon (or the sun, if you prefer) represents the dawning and growth of self-knowledge.

The ivy, being a symbol of fidelity, fertility, and prosperity, should not necessarily be taken in a literal context but more as a series of concepts that hold very broad meanings – meanings that are applicable to the ID and relationship that we have with ourselves as they are applicable to those of the world beyond the self.

The reverse outline of the hand and the shield represent diagnostics. This diagnostic vision also encompasses education and learning as much as it might pertain to medicine.
