I laughed when I saw the image of my newly-planted mint in the gorgeous new pot I'd bought--I didn't realize I'd caught my own image on film as well until I got the picture ready to send my love. I called it "Self Portrait with Mint," and he loved it. For this show, and as I am learning how to digitally alter photographs, I explored filters and effects until I got just the surreal look I wanted. I still maintained that reflection of me in my nightgown on the back deck, early in the morning...
