I had intended to leave my outdoor studio, but this view presented itself as I turned my back on the lake...I liked the rhythm of the trees and the mystery of the path, so I continued to paint well past the time I meant to. It's like that sometimes...I'd not intended to paint on canvas, either, but couldn't find a watercolor block to fit my knapsack. I liked the crisp effects, and will do it again...
