This painting is based on a scene from the Richard Adams novel Watership down. One of my favorite books. Its about a group of wild rabbits that leave their warren in search of another. Led by Hazel and Fiver, they have many adventures along the way(and after they reach watership down). The character in the painting is Dandelion. A fast runner, and an excellent story teller. He is also used as a scout throughout the book. Upon reaching the down, he is the first to make it to the top. "Come and look! You can see the whole world!" he shouts to the others as he stands on top of the down.
