I have been passionate about photography since Junior High School. The school I attended had a fully equipped darkroom for black and white photography and I found myself using any excuse I could come up with to skip class and develope film and print photos.
Even back then I imagined the ability to create color images with my cameras, bring them back to my studio and be able to develope large format prints while having total control over the entire process. While I was dreaming about it, Bill Gates and the other computer guru's where out making it happen...
I was never really talented at painting or drawing the images that I could envision, whether they where right in front of me or just an idea in my head and I have the utmost respect for those who can, but with Canon advanced digital photography and Epson Archival color technology I can produce beautiful giclee prints with a longevity that would certainly out last the photographer.
I hope my work can evoke an emotional reaction in people, I seem to photograph the more pleasent things in life like nature and wildlife, also everyday things we can sometimes take for granted. I have a passion for trains and the structures that surround them, I also love the simplicity of the Amish. I visit Lancaster, PA. as often as I can and try to get lost on back roads and among the farms. I am thrilled when coming upon an old barn or covered bridge and waiting for the morning light to be just right and then capturing that image for eternity.
