Please click on "Portfolio" above to see some of my work and photography. I am a 45 yr. old single mother of three living in northeastern North Carolina. In 2006, I gave up my job in education in order to pursue a career in art. I've always wanted to see if I could make a living with my art, and due to economics I'm finally getting the opportunity to find out!
I do murals, commissions, paint wooden minis on ebay, paint faces as a sideline, paint on glass, teach art privately in my home, and create specialty art for businesses, etc. I work primarily with acrylics and love to make art from real life.
With no formal training, I just paint what I see and feel, and chalk it all up to one huge learning experience.
I've been told that all art is subjective....if that's true, then why am I my own worst critic? ;-)
One of the greatest challenges that I face in my painting is knowing when to STOP......I tend to "over-do" and "muck it up". Painting is my joy, though, and as long as I can manage a brush and some pigment I suppose I'll endure!
If you're interested in learning how to paint on glass please go to my website, I have a small blurb there on the technique and which kind of paint is best, hopefully you will find this information to be useful. Thank you for stopping in, please check out all of my work in my portfolio and also in ebay, and come back again.
