My painting of Rosa tells a story. A lovely angelic woman graced with a halo holding her heart for all to see, Rosa lives in a pastoral setting, her home surrounded by flowers, tulips, sheep. Those sheep never leave, they love to hang out around Rosa’s house. One day a shepherd will come by and think those sheep need tending but instead what he discovers is Rosa’s heart needs tending. Layered paper elements collaged on canvas and finally painted with acrylic work together to tell this story of pastoral anticipation and hopefully, finally true love.
