A depiction of Scheherazade.

Scheherazade is the heroine in One Thousand and One Arabian Nights originating from ancient India, Arabia and Yemen. Here she weaves her stories and tales she so tirelessly studied to end the King's ritual murder of his new wives. The night Scheherazade became his bride, her stories were so enchanting that she told them for many years beyond her wedding, thus saving herself and ending the senseless murder of young women by teaching the King kindness and morality through her tales.
