Before the Storm represents my plein air miniature painting I did on my deck on May 24. These clouds are representative of the coming thunderstorms that came through later. Our hummingbirds that visit our feeder and flowers have sparring matches, especially before storms to get their fill of nectar or sugar water. These birds were buzzing around as I painted the clouds. I tried to get them in as best I can since they are fast changers as are clouds.
