My commissions are original works that capture the lives of people today. I also reproduce works of the past and complete original pieces that are themes based upon the work of the Masters.
I love to capture an emotion or scene of today through people and animals. I draw great inspiration of painting animals in their natural environment and capturing a snapshot of a human's life. My experience encompasses portraits of adults, and/or their children, pets, or other reflections of their lives. I desire to create emotional or spiritual components or multi-meaning sentiments in my work. Another way I do this is by representing life through comedic and satirical works, such as Friday Night at Bob's.
I also enjoy learning from other artists by reproducing the works of the Masters. My favorites are Velázquez and van Gogh. From reproducing their works, I continue to create images of the past in my own mind's eye. I produce my own originals in neo-classical, art-deco, impressionistic, and contemporary styles.
