Botanicals are great kitchen and breakfast nook décor. I've wanted to create a series for my kitchen but it always got relegated to the back burner until now. When this show came up, the time was ripe, as well as the fruit.

The artwork is a result of several processes. First, the original photo of a white nectarine (shown below) was used as a reference to digitally paint the fruit in Studio Artist where liberties in color were taken to give it a richer and "peachier" appearance. The leaves were "borrowed" from a photo in Wikipedia and additionally painted where needed to repair shadows. The pieces were then tweaked, rotated and positioned in Photoshop where background, text and borders were also added.

This second entry is similar to, but not exactly like my other entry. A different reference photo was used to paint this version.
